Future EO Missions Workshop
The next CEOI Challenge Workshop to identify potential future UK EO missions will be held on Monday 30th April in the Alexandra House Hotel near Swindon. The workshop was originally due to be held in March 2018, but due to the severe weather, was replaced by a telephone conference. It is now being rescheduled.
The new date is confirmed to be Monday 30th April 2018 (10.00 to 15.00). The agenda will be modified to fit the schedule for the overall 'EO Mission Capability Review' process.
There will be an opportunity to hear about the missions proposed into the UK Space Agency’s EO Mission Capability Review. The agenda will include introductory talks from CEOI and the UK Space Agency to set the scene, followed by parallel workshop sessions with presentations of the new mission ideas by the proposers.
The workshop will complete with a plenary session after lunch to bring out the main points.
CEOI is organising this workshop as part of a project on behalf of the UK Space Agency’s Earth Observation Advisory Committee (EOAC) to develop a list of candidate UK EO Missions and Instruments.
A major part of the workshop will be to hear from those who would like their mission to be included on this list. These could be UK national missions/instruments, or developed as a bilateral or through ESA (including InCubed) and that are near flight-ready.
The information from the presentations, the discussion and the process will be collated into a short report for UKSA and EOAC. The following stages in the project will be announced at the workshop.
