New-look CEOI newsletter will showcase development of UK’s Earth observation technology

CEOI’s monthly newsletter has been given a fresh new look and will reveal all our latest efforts to support important developments in the world of Earth Observation.

The new-look newsletter will feature our latest news and events and case studies about the progress of technology development projects being funded by CEOI.

It will also highlight our latest technology calls and funding opportunities.

With Earth Observation science fundamental to humanity’s understanding of our planet and its climate and natural processes, as well as our economy, it is now more important than ever that news in this field is shared more widely.

CEOI Director Dr Nicolas Lévêque said that as many of the innovative Earth observation technologies funded by CEOI have applications across much wider sections of industry than just space, it is vital to broadcast what the CEOI does and new developments in this arena.

He said: “Collaboration underpins so much of what we do at CEOI so our new-look newsletter is another way of communicating with EO colleagues and also reaching potential new industry partners.

“We are constantly looking for non-space applications of our innovative new technologies, while also looking to other industries for technologies that can solve EO technical challenges.

“Our newsletter provides another platform through which we can share with other sectors the CEOI-funded technologies that are available.

“We’re aiming to be the voice of the Earth observation instrumentation community, promising readers relevant and engaging content so that when they open up our online newsletter, they know it will be time well spent.”

Created in 2007 and funded by the UK Space Agency since 2011, the CEOI supports the development of innovative EO satellite instrumentation to maintain the UK’s position at the forefront of EO capability and expertise.
