The CEOI Team would like to invite you to a participative workshop on Thursday 27th February at the Goldsmith’s Centre in Farringdon, London. This workshop aims to bring together experts working with Passive Optical Remote Sensing Technology (nominally, UV to SWIR) for a structured series of conversations to generate knowledge pathways for the future.
The aims of the workshop are to:
- Co-create a series of shared visions for the use of these Technologies for Earth Observation.
- Share our assessment of the current state of technology and its relevance to Earth Observation
- Shape our ideas for how we might speed up our progress towards our shared vision for making use of these technologies to support earth observation in terms of knowledge and innovation research.
We hope to have a wide representation across the optical payload community.
There is a bursary fund to encourage ECR participation, which will cover travel and accommodation costs.
Registration and coffee is at 09.45 with the opening session at 10.15 and the workshop will be finished by 16.45. In addition to short coffee breaks, there is a longer break of an hour at lunchtime to catch up on emails and calls or develop your network through conversations with others at the event. The materials generated from the workshop will be shared immediately with those attending using our digital pinboard and in the longer term your work will be used to contribute to the shaping of future research programmes.
If you are interested in joining the workshop please save the date and complete this short application and submit by 14th February 2025, we are limited to 40 places due to the size of the venue and we would like to have a mix of people attending so whilst we aim to accept everyone we may need to make a selection if more than this apply by the deadline.
