The CEOI Team would like to invite you to a participative workshop on 28th January Euston London. This workshop aims to bring together experts working with Remote Sensing Technology (Millimetre, Microwave and THz) for a structured series of conversations to generate knowledge pathways for the future.
The aims of the workshop are to:
- Co-create a series of shared visions for the use of these Technologies for Earth Observation.
- Share our assessment of the current state of technology and its relevance to Earth Observation
- Shape our ideas for how we might speed up our progress towards our shared vision for making use of these technologies to support earth observation in terms of knowledge and innovation research.
We hope to have a wide representation across the MM, MW and THz community. We recently ran a similar workshop for the Lidar community and the feedback was very positive about the participative approach we adopted for the workshop:
“Fantastic, fully engaged, good networking platform”
“It was pleasant to have an engaging experience with other experts in the CEOI field and not just gather expertise but also thoughts and future views”
There is a bursary fund to encourage ECR participation, which will cover travel and accommodation costs.
Registration and coffee is at 9.45 with the opening session at 10.15 and the workshop will be finished by 16.40. In addition to short coffee breaks, there is a longer break of an hour at lunchtime to catch up on emails and calls or develop your network through conversations with others at the event. The materials generated from the workshop will be shared immediately with those attending using our digital pinboard and in the longer term your work will be used to contribute to the shaping of future research programmes.
Details of the agenda and venue can be found on the digital pinboard
If you are interested in joining the workshop please save the date and complete this short application and submit by 19th Dec, we are limited to 30 places due to the size of the venue and we would like to have a mix of people attending so whilst we aim to accept everyone we may need to make a selection if more than this apply by the deadline.
