16th October 2024: National Railway Museum, York
The CEOI Team is organising a participative workshop on 16th October in York. This workshop aims to bring together UK-based experts working with Lidar technologies for a structured series of conversations to generate knowledge pathways for the future.
Please note that the format will be very different from previous CEOI workshops. The aims of the workshop are to:
1. Co-create a series of shared visions for Lidar Technologies.
2. Share our assessment of the current state of technology
3. Shape our ideas for how we might speed up our progress towards our shared vision in terms of knowledge and innovation research.
We hope to have a wide representation across the UK Lidar community, from components (transmission, reception and detection) to systems and applications. Please forward this invitation to suppliers and partners whose views may benefit the workshop output.
There is a small bursary fund to encourage young professionals and early career researchers participation which will cover travel and accommodation costs. Please contact the CEOI if you need support (please provide justifications).
Registration and coffee is at 9.30 with the opening session at 10.00 and the workshop will be finished by 17.00. In addition to short coffee breaks, there is a longer break of an hour at lunchtime to catch up on emails and calls (should you need to) or develop your network through conversations with others at the event. The materials generated from the workshop will be shared immediately with those attending on the digital pinboard and longer term will be used to contribute to the shaping of future research programmes.
If you are interested in joining the workshop please go to EventBrite. We are limited to 30 places due to the size of the venue and we would like to have a mix of people attending so whilst we aim to accept everyone we may need to make a selection if more than this apply by the deadline.
